Hi all, For those who want to use their nice ZSh helmet in flight or with a computer, try www.headsetservices.com. They sell such an adapter, I have tried it and it works great. It is a 4-pins socket that match the ZSh-3 plug, so if you want to use it on ZSh-5 or -7, you'll have to put the 'Y' adapter first. PPDS

Hello Stevie, Yes I confirm my statement: it is possible to put on a ZSh or ShL helmet, connect a LA-5 mic and connect the whole thing to a computer or airplane radio via this special adapter. I've tried it and I swear it works. No impedance problem or anything else! Plug and Play (for ZSH-5 and -7 you will need the Y adapter too) PPDS

Here is a picture. As you can see it ends with the twin General Aviation plugs (one mic, one earphones). The earphone plug matches with computer/hifi stuff sockets. PPDS

PPDS,
I am also interested in this adapter, but i don't think that it is listed in the products page(At least i can't find it). Is it a special order or something?
How hard is to find the socket for ShL-82 helmets? Should be easy to make a simple adapter, assuming that the socket can be bought.
Thanks,
Bruno.

The adapter is not online indeed. You have to ask a guy that works there. I can't put his email here for privacy reasons so if anyone is interested just PM me I'll give it back. You can also make one yourself, he can sell you just the socket. He also has special adapters for French Gueneaus, British MKs and Swedish FFVs. PPDS
